Do we still ride? Or do we party party party and all get wasted!

Everyday via some network I'm getting invited to a party.  Why is it that we never send out invites to rides.  I see a flyer for a partying going on all weekend but out of that whole weekend there is no ride.  How can we change the face of what it means to be an MC take some initiative and put together some rides. I mean come on I like to party like the next person. However, I get more satisfacation being on my bike with the troubles of the world left behind me in the wind and nothing to think about but the open road.

I agree, we try and plan rides or poker runs to visit our other American Legion Post and drive and visit our favorite sponsor, our leather and seamstress shop...LOL

the reason you have more parties than rides is, most today treat their club life like a bowling league. its just something to do to get out the house.

I believe that if collectivly we stray away from the parties and talk about doing some riding, it will get back to the way I heard it was. I remember waking up on Sat and my dads crew lining up my street going for a ride. I would attempt to do the same thing but my HOA would kill me. LOL Its shocking when you tell most of the new riders you are going to ride for more than an hour and we are not taking the highway. LOL

E Love nailed it. I'd rather spend a day riding then a night partying.

A Motorcycle Club with OG's is going to ride, ride and ride some more then party. Parties relieve stress and give members a chance to know each other a little better. I have stated that social clubs are the big reason for all the parties. That's how they raise money for the social club. Take away dates for M/C's. I stated that they don't even support the M/C's even when they have been supported by a well known M/C. If a social club is going do right they should be out supporting first. I see some newer M/C's falling right into the trap of letting this go down. Are there cliques among social clubs and M/C?. One M/C supports another M/C's, and then the support of a S/C's. But first the S/C should always be in support of the M/C. What better back up is there then a tight M/C. Check it if I am wrong let me know. Check it.

HEY, I FEEL WHERE YOU R COMING FROM. I AM A MEMBER OF A CLUB THAT'S BEEN AROUND FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS N THEY LIKE TO PARTY. I AWAYS VOICE MY OPINION IN OUR MEETN ABOUT SETTING A RIDE N ALL I HEAR IS WE WILL DO ONE SOON. BUT AS SOON AS SOMEONE POINT OUT THAT ANOTHER CLUB IN THE AREA IS HAVING A PARTY. EVERYBODY AT THE MEETN WANT TOO CHIM IN ON THE PARTY N R ALL FOR THE PARTY. I HATE TOO SAY THIS BUT IT IS TRUE, MOST MEMBERS IN MY CLUB NEVER HAVE TAKEN A OVER NIGHT TRIP AS A GROUP. ANOTHER THING THAT KILLS ME IS WHEN THEY GO TOO A PARTY THEY ALL JUMP IN SUVS N RIDE OUT!!!! LOL WHAT THE **** UP WITH THAT. I LAUGH EVERY TIME WHEN A I SEE A MOTORCYCLE CLUB HIT THE SET IN SUVS. I DO BELIEVE WE NEED TOO RIDE MORE. MOST RIDERS LIKE TOO STAY IN THEIR COMFORT ZONE N DONT WANT TO RIDE AND MEET N GREET OTHER CLUBS OUT THERE IN THE WORLD. "I LOVE TO RIDE UNTIL THE WHEELS FALL OFF!!" THATS MY MOTTO. LET ME U RIDING IN THE DIRTY SOUTH.

Yeah I'm trying to get a buzz and get people to start riding again. Everyone talks a good game but when you get past an hour they go crazy. I guess if we keep trying and keep pushing doing some riding things will change. Whats the point of being in an MC club if the Club doesn't ride. This is a lot of the reason why won't join one. I have partied enough.

Kaine, I think you just tugged on my coat with that one. What did partying have to do with the reason you bought a motorcycle?

That last sentance said it all! "I have partied enough"!! I will never have ridden enough!!

Don't get me wrong, I love a good cook out/dance/all night party. I'll ride there and when I've had enough I ride away.

Never cloud your ability to ride cuz your ride can take you to the clouds.
